About Us
The Environment of Care team (EOC Team) is dedicated to maintaining a safe, functional, and supportive setting for patients, staff, and visitors. We oversee safety, security, hazardous materials management, fire prevention, medical equipment maintenance, utility systems, and emergency preparedness to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote the highest quality of care. Our goal is to create and sustain an environment where healthcare can be delivered safely and effectively.
The EOC Team ensures compliance by rounding bi-annually at all regulated sites (+/-20 days) and semi -annually at all non-regulated sites. The rounding focuses on categories such as Bloodborne Pathogens, Compressed Gas Safety, Electrical Safety, Facilities, Fire Safety, Food Safety, Infection Control, Emergency Equipment, PPE and Slip, Trip or Fall Hazards. Reports are received before the EOC Team leaves the Unit or Site. It is the responsibility of the responsible party or manager to respond to the findings.
